Testing Requirement Information:

Classified positions require passage of a position-specific District-administered test(s). In order to be considered for an interview, candidates must first complete the necessary test or tests and achieve a passing score of 70% or higher. Candidates will be contacted by the Personnel Department to schedule a date and time for test taking.

 

No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Requirement Information:

Severe Disabilities Aides, Instructional Paraprofessionals, Instructional Activities Paraprofessionals, Health Aides, and Title I Library Paraprofessionals must have one of the following in order to be compliant with the No Child Left Behind Act:

* An Associate's or higher degree; or

* Two years of study at an institution of higher education (equal to 48 semester units); or

* Pass a standardized exam, demonstrating knowledge of and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing and mathematics. The District will provide candidates with the opportunity to take this exam (see above)
